1959 sunbeam alpine series i roadster

For sale is my father's Sunbeam Alpine which unfortunately must be sold as he is no longer able to get in and out of easily. The car was purchased around 6 years ago, and since then we have fully rebuilt the engine with the 1750 head, brakes, suspension, transmission, and steering. This car has had over $30k spend on it with receipts, all done by Geoff at Peninsula Sport Car Services in Brookvale. The car runs and drives, but is not registered and would definitely need a tune up as it has not been driven on the roads for around a year now. The interior is in good condition, with a beautiful original wooden steering wheel and aftermarket immobiliser. The body would definitely use a good lick of paint, as it has certainly developed a modest patina over time. There are no visible signs of rust aside from small rock chips here and there, which for a car this old is quite impressive. The sale will also include a soft top and a rare hardtop, as well as various other Sunbeam specific spare parts. Overall, this car has been well taken care of and enjoyed by my father and it really is a shame to see it go. The car may be viewed late afternoons and weekends as these are the only times I am home. The car is located in Avalon Beach. Asking price is $24,000, but we may be negotiable for the right buyer.
