1973 HQ. Original V8 car. Started life as a Kingswood with a 253 and trimatic. Now decromed and with Premier front.
The car has a new drivetrain front to rear incorporating a black 308 stroked to 383, turbo 700 trans and 9" LSD - all new - done approx 2000km. Built by professional mechanic.
Drivetrain:
COME 383 stroker kit - Kieth Black pistons, Hastings file back rings, King Bearings, ARP Mains Stud kit. Block grout filled to bottom of welsh plugs, torque plate bored and honed to 30 thou over, square decked. Early heads race ported and fitted with L34 size valves. Heads shaved - 51cc combustion chambers - 9.8:1 compression. Street Terra roller rockers and ARP head bolts. Crow 5619 cam - 226/232 @.050, .505/.522 lift. Crow lifters and 8.6" one piece chrome molly pushrods, Crain double valve springs. Weiand Excelerator inlet manifold, match-ported. Technocarb 660 cfm four barrel LPG carb. Impco E and Lanzi converters. Natrad 3 core alloy radiator, viscous fan, factory cowl. New JP Std vol oil pump and new water pump. Bosch electronic dissy, bosch coil. Modified Advance 4/2/1 headers, twin 2 1/2 into 2 1/4 system. CRS Trans crossmember and speedo corrector box. Shortened 1 tonner tailshaft. 9 inch diff, 3.25 LSD. McDonald Brothers tubular trailing arms - adjustable uppers. Modified Trimatic T Bar shifter. B&M Street and Strip T700, 2500 stall converter.
Exterior:
Cyan Blue metalic acrylic painted prior to my purchase in 2004. GTS wheels 14x6 front with 225 Bridgestones and rear 14x8/12 with 245s. Comes with a spare set of front tyres. Tyres have done around 3000km.
The vehicle is rust free and while not concourse condition it does present very well. The drivers seat has some wear, there is a small tear at the top of the rear seat armrest and there are some small stone chips in the paint from general use.
Selling due to lack of use - the vehicle has done 3000Ks in last 2 years.
Was registered in QLD until recently. Currently unregistered. May need emgineers inspection for trans and/or diff for some states.
