With only 11,800 Lancers sold in Australia between 1974 and 1979 under the Chrysler Valiant name these unique Mitsubishi produced small cars are few and far between, making these a rare and desirable choice. All Australian models were a 2-door EL or a 4-door GL with a 92hp Saturn 4G33 engine and a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic. The A70 Lancer had international success in rallies making this a great base for a classic rally build.
This 1974 4-door GL Lancer appears to be complete and in surprisingly good and solid order. There is some surface rust surrounding the car with some rust and some holes on the lower edges, bootlid, bonnet and more, however it does appear to have mostly avoided heavy major rust. The interior is also complete but is dry, worn and weathered throughout. The motor cranks and turns over, but did not start, so the car has not been tested further.
