From being the choice of car for upper-class Japan to the humble taxi. The Crown quickly became a staple in the line-up from Japanese auto manufacturer heavy wait, Toyota. The Toyota Crown was introduced in 1955 and quickly gained in interest for government usage as police cars or for transporting government officials. The Toyota Crown has also been a staple for company cars and taxis. The 1.9L inline 4 cylinder engine matched with a column shift manual makes for a truly classic drive that is incomparable to a modern car.
This 1964 Crown Custom appears to be complete and in surprisingly good and solid order. There is some surface rust surrounding the car with some rust bubbles and signs primarilyy on the lower edges, however it does appear to have mostly avoided heavy major rust. The interior is also complete but is dry, worn and weathered throughout. The motor cranks, turns over, and started briefly, but the car has not been tested further.
