Auto with V8 side valve. A traditional highboy style street rod with a salt lakes racer influence- deuce customs body on an original 1934 Ford chassis. South Australia registered. Features a fully rebuilt and modified 8BA side-valve V8 engine, with ‘Offenhauser’ heads and intake, twin ’97 carbs, headers, ‘Mallory’ distributor, quality water pumps and stainless-steel exhaust system. The trans is a power glide automatic adapted to the engine with a ‘Mike Davidson’ adaptor. Front suspension is traditional style with a chassis engineering dropped axle with ’34 radius rods. Front brakes are a ‘So-Cal’ hot rod front brake system that features Buick style finned drums that conceal ‘Willwood’ hubs, rotors and callipers. Rear end is an 8” Ford unit with drum brakes, transverse spring and ’36 Ford radius rods. Rolling stock consists of ‘Wheel Vintiques’ Street Rod Wires with trims and caps, wrapped in period conventional tyres. Steel cycle style guards feature easily removed brackets for event use etc. The exterior paint is ‘PPG Red Oxide’ basecoat with ‘PPG’ 2K satin clearcoat for a hard wearing and easy to maintain finish. The chassis and guards are satin black 2K. A steel ‘Rootlieb’ four-piece original style bonnet covers the engine and chequered firewall. A full chrome original style grille is flanked by ’34 Ford commercial headlights. Windscreen frame is a chrome ‘Red Fox’ item. Interior features custom alloy trim panels with a full louvered headliner, bucket seats, ‘Genie’ shifter ‘VDO’ gauges and banjo style steering wheel.
