1935 Ford Tudor - All steel, no fibreglass. 2 inch Chop Top, smoothed gutter line, boot area (electric operated), Custom recessed firewall. Started life as a 4 door, now a 2 door. Electric windows and central locking. Running a 1996 Mustang HO 5.0 litre V8, a set of forged pistons, a polished Edelbrock Torker manifold and a 580 4 barrel Quick Fuel carby fed by a Carter electric fuel pump, electronic ignition. Backing up the V8 is a C4 Automatic transmission with a high stall torque converter and Lokar shifter. Original boxed chassis supported by a 4 inch dropped I-beam axle at the front resting on original suspension. Steering is controlled by a box donated by a HQ Holden. At the rear, a shortened Ford 9 inch diff holds a 3.55:1 ratio centre and sits on shortened Valiant leaf springs dampened by Monroe shock absorbers. Brakes are XB Falcon all round, operated by an XB Falcon master cylinder hooked up to an original '35 Ford pedal assembly. Built in Perth, WA and first registered in 1999, this Hot Rod would have to be one of the best built all steel cars available.
