1946 ford business automatic coupe

This 1946 Ford Business Coupe was originally built in New Zealand. The current owners completely rebuilt the vehicle commencing the build back in 2007. This is a beautiful street rod that is fully sorted and has been cruising the streets of Brisbane and surrounds for decades. It is easy to drive and handles nicely. It has a spacious boot area and a roomy cabin. The drive-line consists of a worked 350 Chevrolet V8 with a Lokar Shifter selecting gears on the Turbo 350 3 speed automatic transmission with a Camaro differential on leaf springs at the rear. The Holden front end has a Commodore rack and pinion and is fitted with a sway bar. Front brakes are Leyland P76 rotors with Holden calipers while the rear brakes are Camaro finned drum brakes. The alloy wheels are Billet Specialties with 15 x 6 inch fronts and 15 x 8 inch rears. Ceramic coated Genie extractors lead into a twin system. This rare coupe is painted in Ford Breeze with very subtle ghost flames. The interior has been completely re-trimmed in Champagne leather with 68 Mustang bucket seats. Although the body is completely stock there are subtle custom touches inside the cab with the dash receiving some treatment with modifications like recessed Dolphin gauges, billet switch knobs and a pair of integrated air conditioning vents. The air conditioning is operational and working well. This street rod was rewired during the rebuild and features Mini wipers, thermo fans and lighting changes with sealed beam headlights, blue dot tail lights and oval turn signal lamps.
