1948 Royal Daimler DE36 Landaulette. This vehicle is one of the four royal tour vehicles used by Queen Elizabeth II during 1953-54 royal tour of Australia. This vehicle is totally original and is totally intact.Has had aluminum turret placed over Landaulette section. Straight eight 5.5l engine. Preselector gearbox. Daimler chassis. Body was hand made by Hooper and Co Coach builders. Walnut dash, silk blind windows, engraved glass light fittings, cream cord and blue leather upholstery. The only other surviving DE36 from the 53-54 royal tour is owned by the Australian National Museum and is currently under restoration.
