The Design and Launch of the 6/90 was Overseen by Gerald Palmer, who had been a Designer for Nuffield, Before Austin's Merger Created BMC, when he then Became BMC's Chief Engineer, it would be His Final Design for the Business after a Falling Out with Leonard Lord, Leading to Mr. Palmer being Succeeded by Alec Issigonis. Introduced in 1954, the 6/90 Shared Bodywork with the Riley Pathfinder, but was Equipped with the New 95hp BMC C-Series 6 Cylinder Engine of 2.6L (2639cc), a 4 Speed Manual Gearbox and a Traditional Leaf Spring Rear Suspension Design.
