In 1958, for the Series IIA-IIIC Gazelles Rootes Group Replaced the Singer OHC Engine with the Well Proven 1494cc Pushrod Hillman Engine which was Not Only Cheaper to Produce but also More Powerful, Producing some 56bhp.
