selling or swapping my AP2 ute its a 1959 chrysler wayfarer it has been rodded years ago and is powered by a healthy late model 318 out of a VK VJ valiant and a torqueflight auto, its petrol and gas run great on both has a near new gas system and new holley carb quite economical for a big heavy car. it has new HQ holden disc brakes re-drilled to ford stud pattern so it will fit pre au falcon wheels, new wheel bearings and tie rod ends,brake pads and has had a wheel alighnment. the steering column,steering boxand dash is out of a VK/J valiant,the steering wheel is genuine charger(RARE). The brake booster is HQ to match the discs and the radiator is a v8 commodore item with a large thermo fan,which is very effective at keeping it cool.
the body is in very good condition for its age,dos'nt have any major rust issues just a few minor bubbles here and there.it will need a full re-spray or drive it as is. Ive shaved the door handles and fitted BearClaw latches which are remote controlled and pop the doors open with the remote.(the old door mechanisms were worn out and doors kept opening on corners). the tailgate has a bit of filler lifting near a tonneau hook but otherwise is very solid. ute also has a tonneau cover. The interior has been retrimmed in burgandy vinyl and has new seat belts.
The car does need a resto to get it A1 but is still a very solid reliable ute that turns heads wherever it goes has never let me down,ive used it as a daily driver goin 80ks to and from work. Cruises beautiful. It has 6 months rego. its fully registered not SI so you can drive it as much as you like Only selling or swapping because i dont want it to go to waste and cant get to restore it at the moment.
