Seller's Description
Built in the US in late 58', this Fairlane badged Sunliner is complete and assembled, minus the windshield and vinyl top.
These photos were taken 3 Nov 19, so you can see she is now fully assembled.
There is rust in the rear quarter panels (normally hidden behind the decorative aluminium washboards), along the rear edge of the boot floor and in the foot wells. The rear seat will need some TLC as the vinyl has long gone and the several of the springs have rusted. I have replaced several areas of the floorpan with new sheet metal. The existing engine isn't running but there is second 352 engine (running) available separately. All the trim is present and included, as well as an electronic copy of the workshop manual, wiring schematics and documentation regarding parts availability and email correspondence with suppliers.
I have an engine hoist, engine stand, 4 axle stands and a sand/baking soda blaster available separately for $700
The second 352 FE Y block engine (out of a 1959 Ranchero) is available for $800
If you have specific questions, don't hesitate to ask, or come and have a look.
This model was never built in Australia, or imported by Ford for the domestic market. Only the 4 door sedan version was available locally (in 1961), known colloquially as the 'Tank Fairlane'. I've only ever seen 2 other true 59 Sunliners in Australia. There are a quite a few Skyliners (hardtop retractables) but the Sunliner is indeed rare.
Regrettable sale as work and family pressures don't allow me the time she deserves.
