Seller's Description
This 1960 Dodge Ambulance is a rare find in Australia, custom-built in Adelaide for the Lucas Heights Power Plant.
The Dodge has red colour-coded side steps and wheel rims, a mint green and white two-tone exterior, and Dunlop 6.50 R16 light truck tires. The exterior is in excellent condition, with a recent repaint of the green colour. It also has a tow bar at the back, and full swing doors for easy access to the back seating.
Inside, the Dodge has a tan theme across the doors and underside of the dashboard, along with blue seating. The vehicle is currently registered to seat 11 people and has a partition that separates the front and back with a sliding window viewer in the middle. The back split windows open from the top, providing good airflow throughout the vehicle.
The ambulance’s original H180 flathead 6cyl engine sits under a two-split bonnet. It drives really well for its age and could serve as a van or motorhome. This Dodge 180 Ambulance is a unique vehicle in Australian History, you won’t be seeing many of these on the roads today.
