This beautiful 1961 Valiant R Series pillarless hardtop restomod has had a complete nut and bolt restoration. These models are the top of the range. The vehicle was imported by the owner in 2006. The car was completely stripped down and the body was media blasted and only a few small areas in the rear guard bottoms and rear rockers required rust repair. It has gorgeous 2 pack paintwork and is mechanically in very good condition. The engine has been upgraded to a 318 V8 with standard specifications and electronic ignition. The transmission is a Torque flite. The LSD differential is Ford. It has some custom touches such as Jaguar twin filler necks and an extended custom dashboard with Dolphin instruments. The rear head rests have DVD entertainment units in them were the little one can watch movies. The car has four wheel disc brakes. Two inch dropped front spindles with certification papers. The custom alloy radiator keeps the engine cool while the retro fitted under-dash air conditioner keeps the cabin cool. It has a four speaker stero. The electric front seats are from a Honda Legend while the rear seat is from an AP5. All chrome has been restored at a cost of $5000 at the time. All rubbers have been replaced and the front and rear screens. It has front and rear sway bars fitted. Steering is manual rack and pinion. The car has been completely rewired. The chrome steel wheels are the ever popular Cragar 15 inch with spinner caps. This car is proven and fully sorted for reliability and comfort.
