Seller's Description
Accurate and competitive reproduction of the Parnelli Jones 1963 Indy 500-winning Watson "Agajanian Willard Battery Special" Indy Roadster, nicknamed "Calhoun". Expertly built from the ground up to an enthusiast's exacting requirements for use in historic racing, sprints and hill climbs. Incredibly reliable, maintained regardless of cost and a hugely popular car at any race event or show it attends. Hard to differentiate from the real (and too valuable to race!) genuine car, I had the car built so it could be reliably driven and enjoyed. Uses a Chevy 350ci (5.7-litre) with Dart alloy heads, T5 gearbox, Schaefer aluminium flywheel, 5.5-inch triple plate clutch, and Winters QC rear end with Wedgelock centre. Built on a custom chrome moly chassis, with Grade 3 heavy duty fibre glass nose and tail, with all other panels aluminium. Uses Dragway wheels and features accurate Agajanian Willard Battery #98 livery. Fast and rewarding to drive in the right hands (spins the wheels in third gear!), or would make an interesting addition to a collection or showroom. Selling for far lower than build cost so I can move on to other projects.
