Seller's Description
The Chevy 2 Nova N.H.R.A Gasser.
This particular car began life as an ordinary 2 door family saloon until the old drag boys got their hands on it.
Leaving the Norwood factory in 1965 as a 2 door Chevy 2 “Nova” 100 6 cylinder painted in Ermine white and Artisan Turquoise with Turquoise interior trim.
In the tue ‘Gasser’ style of the 50’s and 60’s this Chevy 2 has been given the full treatment. All the go fast equipment available at the time with modern upgrades also added in.
Raised standard front end for weight distribution to the rear wheels. 4 speed Saginaw manual gearbox with a Hurst shifter. 327ci Chevy V8 running fender well extractors into center dump pipes, alloy radiator and upgraded cooling system.
Driving a 10 bolt Salisbury differential and stopping by way of the factory drum brakes these guys were brave men!
The car is a recently completed tribute with loads of new hardware. Beautifully presented with all the care and attention to details nicely put in place. The hand brushed sponsorship livery, the detailed enginebay, the fantastic trimwork and interior, nice body and paint work this little drag rocket does not disappoint.
It’s not every day something like this comes up on the market. A recently completed tribute to a part of American Racing history. A cult following that carried on for decades while they learned how to go ever faster!
