1965 250cc 'high-cam' Parilla Tourist. Matching Engine/Frame Numbers. Original metallic blue/silver paint and decals. The cylinder head has been reconditioned with a new 1st oversize 68.2mm piston, new rings and gudgeon pin. The handlebar, gear and brake levers, engine mounts, kick starter, foot brake, plus brake arm and gear lever have been re-chromed. The damper knob has been professionally polished and many other parts zinc plated. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to finalize chroming the 18 inch original Sanremo steel rims or rear suspension springs that I had intended to finish. New push rod, oil feed, 4 x engine & fork seals. New high-cam gasket set. New handlebar & gear lever rubbers. Parts & workshop manual purchased from UK.
The Parilla also comes with a parts and workshop manual, purchased via the UK. I also have what appears to be the original Parilla tool kit that came with the bike in a lovely old canvas bag. I welcome overseas interests in this lovely Parilla. The Parilla is either a Trailmaster or Tourist - difficult to tell difference. The high rise left side muffler is original to this Parilla. She is a very original example of this model and I know many people say their bikes are rare - but those of you who know Parilla's will realise how difficult it is to find a Parilla in this original condition (world wide). The Parilla is presently located with my restorer in Canberra ACT.
