1968 International Harvester C1100 Pickup.
Beautifully restored with body taken off and chassis sandblasted. Correct parts used throughout, absolutely stock mechanically with original motor.
Body is very good. Rust is minimal (just isolated spots in a couple of areas on cabin gutter and a couple of small spots on drivers side sill). Chassis is rust free. Paint very presentable, the only area that might need rectification if one was fussy would be on the rear LH wheel arch where is has faded a little.
Mechanically 100%. Original Australian Diamond 4.6 litre 6 cylinder motor, set up on dual fuel with LP Gas tank inside tray. Runs great on petrol and gas. Three on the tree transmission shifts very well. Geared for about 100km/h comfortable cruising speed.
Recently replaced battery and starter motor. Unstressed, super reliable drivetrain. Could easily be replaced with a V8 but I preferred to keep the original 'farm ute' look.
Car is quite capable of being driven long distances. Tyres very good and four wheel disc brakes are excellent.
Beautiful, original hardwood tray - never replaced and is still excellent. Wood very well maintained and regularly oiled. Side panels are removable if required (they lift off easily).
Interior looks great. Had repainted in what I understand were the original factory colours with the only change being the addition of a small parcel shelf underneath the main dash for extra storage space. All gauges work correctly.
Can be registered on full SA registration.
