After a 6 year build this car was completed in 2007. Since then it has competed in 15 shows and won 40 trophies. It is totally certified and a pleasure to drive.
It is painted Holden VE red with House of Kolor silver/white marble. The front bumber is a customized VX commodore. Front guards remain steel with custom headlight assemblies. Doors feature 1piece windows with BMW mirrors and indicators. Carrera fibreglass sideskirts feature checkerplate steps and body moulding. Rear gaurds have been widened 1 inch and have clear indicators with led bulbs. The rear boot is fibreglass with a bi level wing, venting and mesh and 3rd brake light. The body has been extensively shaved and smoothed.
An 1835cc VW TYPE 1 engine has twin Dellorto carbs, Porsche fan and alternator, external oil filter and cooler, 009 dizzy with compufire electronic ignition, chromed high torque starter motor and Monza extractors with 4 tip exhaust.
Transmission is a Rhino single sideplate 4 speed manual with a lightened flywheel on urethane mounts. Front suspension is a narrowed torsion bar with height adjusters and 16mm Whiteline swaybar. Rear suspension is IRS with KYB gas shocks all round.
Brakes are Slotted VW disc rotors with Type 3 callipers on the front and Slotted custom discs with Porsche 914 callipers on the rear. Vault Crystal Rims measure 17 x 6.5 and 18 x 7.5 with Nankang tyres.
The interior is fully retrimed in black carpet and features Monza Sports seats with 4 point harness, Isotta steering wheel, Custom steel dash with billet allum speedo and gauge cluster, remodelled door cards with billet handle and winders.
The stereo consists of Pioneer head unit, processor and 12 disc stacker, Rockford Fosgate Monoblock and 4 channel amplifiers, Focal Polyglass 3 way split speakers, 2 x Boston 12 inch Subwoofers, Rockford Battery Terminals and fuses and an Optima dry cell battery. The car has been totally rewired using a Painless wiring kit.
This stereo has been awarded best sound quality in the Bundaberg area 2 years running.
