Seller's Description
1971 ZD Ford Fairlane Custom Rare 3 speed manual
I'm led to believe, and going by it's service books, that the car has an original 17,000 miles, and it does retain it's original shock absorbers, ball joints, original windscreen and matching number engine, gearbox and diff.
Drives very smooth and tight light a low mileage car should.
Car as photographed is finished with satin finish Centrelines for a cruiser look, but I do still have the original wheels and caps. Brand new tyres.
Does have full books and original spare keys
Original carpet throughout
Original rubber boot mat
Completely rust free
Mostly original paint, but has had minor touch ups commensurate with it's age
All bumper bars are original chrome
Car is a very good, clean, straight, honest cruiser.
Registered and roadworthy (in Tasmania). In Tasmania a road worthy certificate is not required to buy and sell a vehicle, but if you would like to have a road worthy completed prior to purchase I am happy to arrange it at your cost ($125).
Car is located in St Helens, Tasmania. Delivery to Melbourne is available at cost to buyer.
If you wish to view in person, St Helens is two hours from Launceston airport, three hours from Hobart airport and three hours from ferry terminal in Devonport if you wish to drive the vehicle back yourself. I'm happy to answer any questions by phone, but please be aware that the car is located outside the main cities, so if you're coming from interstate to look at it, you will need to hire a car at the airport or be at the mercy of the bus which runs once a day.
