Joe’s Golden Gasolines would like to present you this stunning and well-presented 1971 Ford Galaxie 500 two-door hardtop coupe. This is a very straight full-size 2-owner car. Garaged its whole life and last owned by an avid collector, member of several antique car clubs, and served as a judge at several antique auto shows, Bob Bakewell. The odometer reading 31,942 original miles. Under that king-size bonnet is the Ford Cleveland 335 series 6.6L 400 Cubic Inch V8 linked to the 3-speed column shift cruise–o–matic. The “335” designation reflected Ford management’s decision to produce an engine of that size (335CID) with room for expansion during its development. This engine family began in late 1969 with the 351 engine and later expanded to include the 400 CID 6.6L engine used a taller version of the engine block commonly referred to as a tall deck engine block. The engine bay is in tidy condition with a brand new battery. We take a look inside this beautiful Galaxie 500 and see the upholstery mated in the red vinyl trim with colour keyed nylon carpeting. The interior is in immaculate condition, deep cushioning, stretch-out room, and thick carpeting gives you wall-to-wall luxury. Royal burl grain featured on the door trims, bench seats front and rear with armrests, AM radio, air conditioning that blows cold, tinted glass, it's exceptionally quiet and power steering making this ride incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The Paint is presented in great condition in the 2-tone Pinto red and roof paint in Wimbledon white. The photos don’t do it justice. This 50 year-old Ford is in stunning condition. The chrome, the mouldings, and grille are in perfect condition. Concealed windshield washers, steel guard rails protecting the paint on the body from stones, 2” white walls, and presented with the original ford hubcaps.
