Mercedes Benz 350SL. 1972 model. This Merc has been extensively restored over the last 4 years. • Engine rebuilt with many repairs and replacements including new heads. • New radiator. • Exterior completely resprayed, finished January 2020. Has only since been out of the garage to have its registration inspection. • New soft top, (imported from UK, not China) • New floor mats • Hard top with trolley • Alloy wheels • Momo steering wheel • Car cover and Repair manual included • New boot seal • Just passed NSW road worthy and on full registration Over $55,000 spent so far. The interior still needs a tidy up. I bought the car from the original owner intending to restore it and then use on club runs. But a change in family circumstances means the project has to be sold. The interior is the only part of the project uncompleted and it isn’t in bad shape. The seat upholstery is perfect having had covers for most of its life. The odometer has not worked for a couple of years but most of that time it has been off the road being painted etc. The car now goes well, sounds terrific, and looks great. She turns heads wherever she goes and I am sad to part with her. Note, the 500SL badge on the boot is wrong, it is indeed a 350SL.
