Want to get away 1970s style? How's this for something totally different. A genuine Absinth yellow 1974 Holden HJ Freeway Camper. When was the last time you saw one of these? This is a totally original Holden Freeway camper built on a one tonner chassis a long forgotten option that could be ordered from your local Holden dealer back in the 70s.This 10/74 Camper has undergone a recent refurbishment of the camper section including new sink and cupboard, new slimline roof mounted AirCommand airconditioner, new seating and table, and a new awning. The camper is set up for 12v/240v with a manual switch for the dual battery set-up. The fridge is an Engel (compressor type) which works very well, and there is a microwave and decommissioned gas stove, which could easily be made operational again. Crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment including pots, pans, etc. come with the vehicle.This HJ is running the original factory 4.2 V8, 4 speed manual, bucket seats, optional dash cluster (oil and temp gauges), power steering and the centre forced air ventilation. New carpets, seatbelts and under bonnet insulation have been fitted. It has rear air bags to keep it nice and level.The engine is smooth, quiet both on petrol and LPG and there is nothing to doubt that the 94,391 kilometres are original. It’s fitted with extractors, a fuel additive autofeed bottle and has a new battery. It runs dual fuel with a 90 litre (in date) LPG tank. The under dash cab air conditioning works (R134A compliant), but does needs a re-gas.There is rust in the driver’s door and sill, with some other spots here and there, but there is nothing structural and the chassis is clean and rust free - not bad for any HJ one tonner.
