If you’re a true blooded Holden enthusiast this is the car for you. Originally released to celebrate 50 years of General Motors in Australia this special edition Kingswood is believed to be one of only 500 sedans ever made. This particular vehicle has undergone a few tasteful modifications while overall remaining true to form.
The body is in good condition overall with a few very minor signs of age, chrome & decals are all there and in similar condition. A closed door respray undertaken with the addition of a slight fleck to the original paint colour, which makes this Holden sparkle in the sun. A new rubber kit has been fitted all round as well as new headlight surrounds, side mirror & tail light lenses.
The interior sets this HX apart from the rest with tastefully modified seats and trim featuring beautiful diamond pattern stitching which is set to impress. Every inch of the interior has been looked after with the parcel shelf, roof lining, carpets, door cards, centre console and dash all restored or replaced. A retro fitted sound system and head unit have been installed along with Rockford Fosgate front and rear speakers. All round the interior is in excellent condition with no signs of wear or tear.
Under the hood you are greeted by a fully rebuilt grumpy 202 motor with a mild cam & head work. Less than 1000km have been put on since completion and all of the receipts of work carried out with the vehicle. This straight six motor is topped with a 350 Holley and matted to the original automatic transmission with 2500 stall converter. Turn the key and this HX comes to life with electronic ignition and makes all the right sounds flowing through the extractors out the recently completed custom exhaust. The engine bay looks the part with the block and engine pay painted along with the addition of chrome tapper cover and side plates.
This Holden is ready to turn key and enjoy with all the work already done including a recent service. This vehicle makes a great casual show car as well as a grumpy cruiser that makes all the right noises when you push down on the get up and go pedal.
