Eleanor” - Vehicle runs on straight LPG. The previous owner removed petrol tank - THERE IS NO PETROL TANK IN CAR.

Works carried out in 2010-2012
• The engine was rebuilt by Repco machine shop Central Coast. The motor is a 308 V8 red and was already in the car when purchased.
• Genie extractors.
• Front end shocks and rubbers all replaced.
• Gearbox was rebuilt around this time (including clutch) - M21 4 speed
• Door rubbers were replaced (however, rears have since been damaged).
• Wheels are custom made by AJ Wheels in Melbourne (17inch).
• While wall tyres are from Unique Tyres.
• Interior door cards and rear seat were trimmed to match the new (Autotecnica) front seats that were to be installed (however, never got to it).
• CD player and speakers installed,
• New carpet and underlay.
• New bonnet hinges installed.
• Rear drum brakes overhauled.
• Electronic distributor installed.
• Interior plastics painted black.
• Vehicle was resprayed in satin black.
• LED headlight conversion
• Replaced many trim clips, inner door handles and winders etc
The vehicle was registered with historical plates and driven periodically till 2018. The vehicle was then put into a storage facility up north due to major house renovations; we maintained the rego till 2020. Only found out later that the storage facility leaked water badly, resulting in the respray being destroyed and significant rust damage to the vehicle. Also found their staff had stolen parts off the car, and had damaged the vehicle (door rubbers, wing mirrors etc). So had to bring the vehicle home.
Aside from general surface/spot rust, and rust in the usual places (bottom of front windscreen etc.), the rear beaver panel will need replacement (under the rear bumper), chrome wheels have rust damage, bonnet has rust damage, DSF door was damaged around wing mirror, all engine chrome work has rust damaged. Bright work on bumper bars is ok. The floors and boot well are ok. Still runs well, however due to the length of time in damp conditions, brakes and suspension rubbers etc. will all need attention. The gear shift linkage has also become clunky due to failed bushes (again due to damp).
Comes with many parts - Autotecnica front seats (while they have never been used, the fabric is damaged from the damp), front guards (which are in good condition other than rusted at the bottom), a VS 5.0l engine (which was slated to be rebuilt for the car), EFI manifold, and various other parts – the plan was to convert it back to petrol and install VS V8 running gear.
Selling primarily due to health reasons, but also, I just don’t have the room/time/money/physicality to carry out the restoration needed to get the old girl back on the road.
