This is a genuine super rare find for the serious Torana collector! Just listed for sale is this superb August '77 race prepared GMP&A (GM Parts & Accessories) LX Torana 4 door A9X homologation race car. Comes complete with all tags including an original factory compliance plate and build plate noting that the car is a GMP&A build, and that it is running the Super T-10 gearbox. This is one of 11 sedans and 41 Hatchbacks built specifically by Holden in '77 for racing, at a time when the introduction of the A9X was a critical and successful development of the Torana's competitiveness on the track. These competition specific cars were all lightened by stripping out the sound deadening, radio removed and strengthened with full seem welding. Interestingly this rare survivor did not see any racing duty. Like all GMP&As it was delivered without an engine, so was fitted with a strong 308 and became a road car early on. Today it remains stunning in its factory original Flamenco Red paint and day one Slate trim. It is showing a genuine 65,520 kms from new with all original log books and owners manuals carefully preserved by the four owners since new. Now riding on 4 x B45 Simmons rims with a genuine original A9X spare rim. The GMP&A Toranas are the very pinnacle of the A9X build, and this one complete with compliance plates in unrestored condition makes it the ultimate and most iconic Torana collector car.
