This is a 1978 Ford P6 LTD Silver Monarch, one of approx. 250 built. It is now wearing a ZH Fairlane front (the original and pristine front with lights and the bumper bar are included and can be bolted straight back on) and is a matching numbers vehicle. Car is in very good condition, was given a full respray about 10 years ago and aside from a few minor imperfections is looking good. Has original Cleveland 351, with a recently rebuilt and tuned Holley 600 cfm carb. Has original FMX transmission, which shifts perfectly. Pedders suspension has it sitting on the road well, and a Truetrac LSD centre has been put in the 9 inch diff less than 2500kms ago. All four wheel bearings have been replaced in the last 12 months and the car has been regularly serviced, washed and always garaged in the three years I have owned it. The wheels are genuine 70s flat-lip Bathurst Globes that have been refurbished and suit the car perfectly, though a full set of Simmons T5s are also included (one of the original Simmons line-up). The interior is in overall good shape, as are the seats, fitted with seat covers to protect the original upholstery. The transmission shifts well and the engine never misses a beat and copes well with the Australian summer. Overall, this rare muscle car, whilst not perfect, represents great value. It’s reliable, solid, low km, has plenty of power and street cred and comes without the price tag of an XY - and it does it all this with the most comfortable seats imaginable. Will come with a trailer load of spares including doors, a bonnet, the original steering wheel, ford air cleaner, and spare bumpers and over riders for both the Fairlane and LTD fronts.
