This 1980 Holden Kingswood HZ started its life being built in Brisbane and was a factoryv8, now under the hood shows that’s a very different story with a newer LS1 engine swap and a BIG Borg Warner turbo strapped on. This car has had only two owners and also comes mod plated for all supporting modifications. It is in remarkable condition with its all original interior AND It even still has it’s original paint. The patina is taking over 43yr old car but we think it just adds to its tough look. Don’t let the interior or paint fool you, this car has been built to race and lays down 750hp through those massive Mickey Thompson ET Street semi slicks, sitting on Weld Racing wheels.
The engine is now also tuned to e85 and it features 6LT rods, ARP fasteners, Bosch 2200 injectors, Tial waste gate and B.O.V, S475 Borg Warner Turbo, Stainless steel manifolds and a 4inch dump into twin 3” exhaust.
The gearbox is a 1000HP rated power glide with a 3800rpm 10” converter. It also features a 3.5-inch tail shaft with billet 1350 yokes. You’ve got a heavy-duty 9-inch diff with 31 spline nitro axle, a nodular iron centre alloy pinion support and 35 gears full spool to keep all that power being laid down. The fuel system is also top of the line, with a 60Lt cell swirl pot, twin 044 pumps, -10 feed, -6 return braided line AN fittings and hose used throughout. Also, of course this set up needs a transbrake and you’ll find it attached … to the horn! Lets race!
