The LM 5000 VK HDT Commodore was the first of the VK HDT models, built to celebrate the Peter Brock / Larry Perkins Le Mans race campaign of 1984. One of approximately 130 cars built, these models were based on the Police Special BT1 Commodore. A minimalist approach to what is a very rare HDT model. Built in July of 1984. Finished in Asteroid Silver. This car features: All matching number L31 5 litre V8 - HDT ordered and fitted 5 speed manual gearbox (Borg Warner T5) - Limited Slip Differential (3.08) - Rear deck spoiler, wind splitters and genuine Irmscher wheels - Period correct spare tyre - Sports Instrument cluster - Momo Flyer steering wheel and HDT gear knob - Optional Scheel seats - All paperwork, log books, original sales order and maintenance receipts.
