Remembering the 1983 and 1984 James Hardie 1000, George Fury in the Nissan Bluebird dominating the competition, the Nissan Bluebird gave the big banger v8s a taste of what Japanese turbo forced induction was like. George Fury’s Bluebird still holds the Group C lap record today for Mt Panorama. My 1985 Nissan Bluebird TRX is up for sale as I no longer have the time to enjoy the vehicle. This example is a highly sought after Series 3 TRX in Beacon Red with beige interior. About 1000 examples were produced and only a very small handful are still in existence. The car is in very original preserved condition with light reversible modifications. The body work is in very good condition with the paint still bright and glossy. Some light patina around the car and thin roof paint from age. Glass and TRX plastics/rubber all in great shape with no peeling or fading. Old Nissans are more susceptible to rust, however this example is clean. Half centimetre bubble on bottom corner of rear windscreen, rear beaver panel join and driver’s door bracket. Upon entering the cabin, you will feel right at home in the 80s. The beige interior is in as new condition with extensive effort into sourcing and replacing any worn trims with new old stock. The upholstery still smells like new with no sagging or wear. Carpet exhibits no wear or stains. The TRX exclusive dashboard is in impeccable condition with no warping or cracks. The TRX Clarion headphone sound system still works with the speaker balancer unit. Mechanically in good condition, starts and drives smooth. All fluids have been flushed and service items replaced during my ownership. The CA20S motors were packed with emissions control hindering performance. These parts have been removed and can be replaced if desired, may need a carby tune to optimise performance. Note, Impul wheels not included in sale, will be sold on stock wheels.
