Unmodified original example aside from necessary upgrades as follows:
2 seat fibreglass body over spaceframe tubular chassis. Roof can be set as targa or full convertible.
Running in miles only on NEW 4.6 block (new casting from UK factory - not a Range Rover block). All NEW internals balanced and blueprinted in UK (all receipts available) before being matched to original reconditioned heads. New oil / water pumps and starter and all other ancillairies replaced / reconditioned as required. Original Lucas EFI replaced with aftermarket programmable system using closed loop adjustment from exhaust gas sensor.
Clutch replaced with heavy duty item, 5 speed Rover LT77 gearbox reconditioned and Jaguar Salisbury LSD reconditioned.
Cooling system reworked to allow summer use in WA, including twin electric fans and larger radiator - can sit in traffic comfortably on 40 deg days.
Cam chosen for torque so 300hp and 300lb/ft translating into 5 sec 0-100kph, 14 sec 0-160 and 250+ top speed. However the real experience is the phenomenal noise from burbling cruising, the howling bark that accompanies ferocious acceleration to the grenade style gearchange and machine gun overrun.
Also stops and turns well but room for development.
