Seller's Description
A RARE FIND AND ONE FOR THE COLLECTORS!!! A 1990 XF Panel Van with Hawaiian/Beach themed MURALS! Possibly even inspired by the Infamous 'Sea Witch' HZ Sandman of the time?? IE, she has the same/a very similar 'surfie cutting a wave' mural on the bonnet, as depicted on the side panels of the Sea Witch panel van.. N.B. Is a 1990 XF, NOT an '88 model. Site would not give me proper options. All the murals are in excellent condition, as is much of the paint on the van. The 250 crossflow is excellent and very strong, no leaks or smoke. Has the column auto, also no leaks and changes gear nicely. The motor is slightly warm (not sure what/if internally?), and has extractors, a sports carbie and sports exhaust. The exhaust has a nice, not too loud note and sounds great. The van has been in storage in recent times so she has new tyres, a carbie kit, oil/filters, plugs and battery. She's been getting started and moved around a little but has not been rego'd or out on the road since 2014. (according to rego records). The car has always been kept road ready, or close to, so it would not take much to get her all good for a RWC and rego if you wanted to. Or, just park her up in the shed as an investment and watch her value go up for you over the next few years..!? The van also comes with heaps of extras, including: a pair of cloth bucket seats, brand new roof racks, the surfboards, a tv, speakers, and of course, the compulsory mattress in the back! Plus more.. Bad points: Although the van has been previously been 'decked out', both the front and rear of the interior could do with a revamp. Has a carpark dent f/r guard. And it has a little rust in a couple of spots, as you'd expect in an XF of this age. The worst being the r/h gutter rail on the roof. Looks like she was rust-proofed and painted black everywhere underneath and the whole of the engine bay at some stage in her life though, which is great and good to know. Only selling due to change in priorities, and the boss has spoken! So she (the van!) has to, very reluctantly, go. The car is drivable and can easily be loaded for transport interstate. Buyer is to arrange and pay for any transport required. I can assist to load at this end. If you live nearby, you could probably even drive it home with a permit if you wanted to. Please phone or email me for further details or to inspect. I will only send extra pics to those who are serious buyers and actually phone/speak to me, so no time wasters thanks! Cheers
