VP HSV MALOO UTE UTILITY V8 5.0L 4 SP AUTO 2 DOOR
I have a VP Maloo in absolutely pristine condition, this car is in showroom quality with a fully detailed engine bay and interior. The rear carriage compartment has a custom hard lid & custom side panels along with a custom twin exhaust system.
It has been fitted with quick shift gear box, Sports Cam Extractors, and electronic upgraded sports chip. this is an extremely fast light bodied car for the power the engine puts out.
The upholstery is in excellent condition and is as new. It has standard factory wheels, as is the rest of the car body kit. It has also been fitted with an upgraded sound system.
This car comes with custom number plates MI MALU, these plates alone cost me $2500. All up @ $22,999 this car is an exceptional buy for the amount of money that has been put into the vehicle.
This is already a collector's car and can only appreciate in value. I no longer use it as a daily driver and it sits in my garage under a cover with the rest of my collection.
The VP Maloo was the second series of Holden Utility, which have been made into a HSV after the release of the VG Ute in 1990.
The VP Maloo started out as a Commodore 'S' Ute with a V8 and then Holden Special Vehicles went to work adding all of the GOOD go fast stuff that makes them so sort after.
The VP Maloo utility was first released in March 1992 and discontinued in April 1993. In the total 13 months of production, only 49 examples were produced. These exclusive build quantities confirm the VP series to be the least production numbers Maloo ute of all.
Total Production: 34 plus 15 HSV Fifth Anniversary Edition… the 5th Anniversary vehicles were only available in the two tone Galaxy Blue with Panorama Silver lower body.
In May 1993 HSV built the last 8 unique All Black Limited Edition VP Maloo's, before the developing the next model - The VR Maloo.
The VP HSV range is based off the Holden VP Commodore’s and they were built between September 1991 and September 1993. In such a short lifespan, HSV built an absolute plethora of models (some limited) these models included the Maloo, GTS, Clubsport, Senator and many others that were released into the market,
The HSV power train is the classic Aussie built 5.0L V8 Petrol Engine. VP HSV’s saw the introduction of independent rear suspension (IRS) and a limited-slip diff (LSD) came as standard issue in these models.
