In 1999 and 6 generations later the S15 Silvia was launched, now boasting 184 kW at 6,400 rpm and 275 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm from its SR20DET inline four cylinder engine thanks to a turbocharger ball bearing upgrade and improved engine management system from the previous version. The S15 Silvia model lineup was simplified to just Spec-S and Spec-R. The S15 generation of the Silvia was only sold new in Japan, Australia and New Zealand being sold as the Nissan 200SX in Australia and New Zealand. In total 3,879 Nissan 200SXs came to Australia between October 2000 and late 2002 with a 147kW engine, retuned for the poorer quality fuel in Australia. This 2002 S15 200SX is a very late one, coming to Australia in July 2002 and is the most desirable model being the 6 speed manual Spec R.
