The Holden EK was a restyle with some modern updates of the successful FB generation. The EK was launched in 1961 and unfortunately came at a bad time for the motor industry in Australia. The recession hit hard and the government had introduced a new 40% tax on motor vehicles which brought the EK to an abrupt end in 1962.
This EK Utility is a great find and base for a restoration project or patina street car. The car is mostly complete example although will require work to get it running 100% and back on the road however the motor does turnover. The car appears to be mostly complete and appears quite solid, particularly in common areas, but has corrosion around the lower areas, floor and tub floor.
