2011 Australian Motor Show heads to Melbourne
The motor show returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, where there has not been a motor show since 2009, under the bi-yearly arrangement which sees the revamped motor show staged alternatively in Sydney and Melbourne. This year is Melbourne's turn and already the show promises a host of new models and concept cars. New models to be unveiled include Peugeot's updated 308 range, in three guises - hatchback, touring wagon, and coupe-cabriolet; next generation Audi A6; and the Toyota FT-86 II concept. According to Show Director, Russ Tyrie, "a lot of the stars of the show appear to have a heavy focus on new technology, while a number of brands will also have new supercars and sports cars, with some showing off new design concepts."
The motor show opens at 6pm Friday 1 July and runs through to Sunday 10 July at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
