Lotus Evora arrives!

If you are cashed up, then dealer demonstrators are available this month, enabling you to sample the sparkling performance of this mid-engined sports car. The Evora is an exciting, practical and versatile V6 powered sports car that is available in two-seat or 2+2 configuration. The Evora is the most significant Lotus car to be launched in the last decade and promises to be one of the most exciting new cars of its time, combining traditional Lotus ride and handling attributes with a large, practical platform encompassing a whole new drivetrain and chassis architecture. Performance is spectacular with 0-100km/h in just 5.1 seconds, combined with low emissions and fuel consumption of just 205g/km and 8.7l/100km (combined highway/urban cycle). Peak power output is 206kW at 6400rpm, while maximum torque is 350Nm at 4700rpm.

Good news for bigger drivers is the attention paid to its ease of use. Wider, taller door apertures and narrower sills make getting in and out of the cabin an easier undertaking than it is in Lotus's smaller sports cars (Elise, Exige, Europa and 2-Eleven).

The entry level Lotus Evora 2+0 is priced at $149,990 + ORCs, with the Lotus Evora 2+2 priced at $156,990.
