Variety Bash to celebrate 30th Anniversary in 2014

More than 700 themed vintage, antique and classic vehicles will join together to cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge ahead of major Bash celebrations in Sydney on 17th August.

Raising money for Variety, the Children's Charity, this year's 2,000 Bashers will visit more than 100 rural and regional centres, contributing to the coffers of these areas, as well as raising funds for Variety.

Since inception in 1984, the annual Bashes have been Variety's most successful annual fundraisers, with more than $200 million raised for kids in need over the past three decades. Last year's Bash raised net funds of $8.5 million, with Variety hoping to top that in this special anniversary year.

This year's combined event will see Bashers start from Victoria, WA, NSW, Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory for the journey to Sydney.

Bashers are required to fundraise a minimum of $5,000 to $8,500 (dependent on state or territory) to participate.
