Lloyds are honoured to be auctioning this prestigious collection that will have over 150 vehicles go under the hammer at Gosford Classic Car Museum’s enormous facilities on the 7th April 2019.

Purchased new by a Nursing Sister from MT Lawley, WA, this vehicle has had 2 owners since new and only 1 of 5000 ever produced. An Australian delivered and matching numbered 1927 Nash ‘Special-six’ with genuine miles in this condition, is unquestionably rare and highly collectible as an early-day automobile
Presenting in a two-tone of black and brown, this cabriolet soft top retains its original and unrestored status. The unique body design featured a forward-facing, pop-up seat to the rear of the vehicle, with total capacity of seating 4 persons inside and out. This 27’ special six also features the two-side bonnet, opening up outwards from the centre on each side.
Powered through a 6-cylinder 4L engine coupled to a manual transmission, these examples offered more-than adequate power for their size, true testament to the luxury status of these Tourers.
The interior showcases an original Walnut steering wheel and dash facier that sets blissfully over a plush, red leathered interior. Displaying full instrumentation across the dashboard, the odometer reads at a low 22075 genuine miles and a thermometer-like temperature display.
Accompanying this vehicle are earlier photos of the vehicle, brochures, magazine and previous registration numbers. Rarely seen across the world, this surviving example has retained is original title and are extremely collectible in an assembled condition.
Nash Motors, a manufacturer in the USA, ran production of its models from 1916-38. Defined in its success by marketing mid-priced cars for the middle-class buyers, its successful release of the Nash Special Six in 1927 came as no surprise. ‘To give the buyer more than he paid for’- its iconic slogan between 1920s-1930s.
