Seller's Description
A magnificent example of the popular 16.9 Sunbeam, this car was fully imported when new to Perth WA and underwent a twenty year restoration completed about twenty years ago. Work included refurbishment of all departments including the engine and gearbox, electricals, instruments, brakes, coachwork, paintwork and trim. With four winding windows, a fold-out windscreen and an adjustable glass sun visor, the interior is beautifully finished in light blue leather with grey headlining. The fastidious current owner has used the car carefully for about ten years and it's proven highly reliable, comfortable and eye-catching. The interior features picnic tables for the rear seats, bucket front seats, a full compliment of instruments and lovely woodwork. A well equipped tool kit is housed in the firewall tool box and in the rear compartment tool cabinet. Everything works as it should and the car recently completed a rally from Sydney to Bathurst without incident. The burgundy paintwork is in very good order but for some minor crazing on the nearside cowl, and the car is generally beautifully presented. Please ask for a condition report or call for more details. The car is a part of a well loved Sydney collection which includes other Sunbeams, but is currently in Braidwood NSW for sale. We have two lovely 16.9s advertised currently but will only sell the first one to go, and will keep the other as a part of our own pre-war car collection
