Seller's Description
This traditionally styled Deuce model 18 roadster has been professionally crafted using rare period components from the 20’s through to the late 40’s and is the antithesis of every other Chev powered cookie cutter street rod. This car would suit someone looking for a high quality pre-war era car capable of reliable use. It has also been equally at home on display at some of Australia’s premier hotrod shows. Ken Brownlee (Deuce Customs) body with exposed hinges and running a cowl steer setup Solid polished brass 1930's George DuVall windshield (google Southern California Plating Co delivery truck for more info on DuVall) 255ci 1953 Ford Mercury engine (4" crank) complete with original Mercury heads, Holley teapot carburettor and oil bath air cleaner. Side loader manual transmission and open tailshaft. Dropped, drilled and chromed front axle on reverse eye spring with '48 juice brakes. Chrome wishbone with speed holes '36 drilled and chromed rear radius rods on 32 spring. 1920's (limited Australian reproduction) cast aluminium Model 20 Edmond and Jonez headlamps and vintage brass K-D Lamp Co of Cincinnati amber passing/fog lamp '37 Ford glass tail lamps Firestone dirt track tyres on big and little steelies (polished stainless dress rims included with sale) Polished brass detail throughout interior with distressed leather seat, period Roger shifter and a vintage Pyrene fire extinguisher 1920's brass 'Speed Nymph' (Augustine & Emile Lejeune) radiator mascot This car was built by a well known hot rodder and had little use before I purchased it 8 years ago. I have preserved it well and it still looks like a brand new build. It has been a pleasure to own, driven occasionally on NSW Street Rod registration (not transferable) it has been more reliable than my modern car. Regrettable sale to fund another project. Located near Windsor in Western Sydney.
