I am selling my 1949 Chevy business coupe. I have owned this car almost three years and now it’s time to downsize the toys. Imported from just outside Los Angeles California in 2017 this car is a beautiful original classic early Chevy purchased through a dealer off the original owner still with only 56,700 miles on the clock! The car is an original Mayland Black car and the paint shines beautifully for its age although not a perfect show car a very presentable and extremely tidy example of a classic 71 year old Chevy coupe. Car has its original 216 “blue flame” straight six and 3 speed manual column shift all original driveline. Recently had the original carter w1 carby rebuilt along with replacing the coil, plug leads, distributor cap, rotor button, points and condenser, new plugs and had the car dialled in on a dyno to correctly setup and tune the carb and reset the timing. New 6V battery, new battery cables and replaced the 6V lights globes. All new Jamco suspension, lowered front coils with new shocks, lowered rear leaf springs with new bushes, lowering blocks and new shocks, front end rebuilt kit (bushings/king pins/ tie rod ends/sway bar links) New brake shoes, wheel cylinders, flexi hoses and rebuilt stainless sleeved original master cylinder. Also added 10psi brake residual valves to the system to keep the pedal nice and firm. Original 15” Kelsey-Hayes steel wheels blasted and painted 2k gloss black with new 155r15 Dimax Classic radials. 1954 Chevy pressed steel chrome National hubcaps (rare to find). Also have the original caps off the car. Extremely tidy original interior with the addition of new carpet just to neaten everything and added the rear venetian blind to the back window. Wipers work great and has a factory working heater. Car is a factory 3 seater being the business coupe and only 20,337 of these vehicles ever produced in this form. Very nice original accessory bumper wrap arounds and neat chrome bumpers and trims. Also have a set of fender skirts to go on the rear, a spare dash radio and few other small pieces to go with the car. Sadly I have run out of storage space to keep everything so the Chevy has to go. Car is currently not registered but has been registered in QLD the past 2.5 years. Have all the import approval paperwork for the car. Please contact me with any questions you have.
