Seller's Description
331 V8 Hemi survivor. Automatic with clutch. Mostly un-restored and in really super original condition but there are some subtle cool mods as well for example:- Cool red head light covers (can easily be removed). Window dark tinting all around and windscreen visor tint added. Patina lettering "331ci Fire Power" (lettering can easily be removed if you choose to, will buff right off). 5x patina black and red steel balanced rims (We have the 4 original chrome hubcaps as well). 5x wide white-walled radial tyres with good tread all around. What else is cool on this survivor? Super original and un-messed with under the bonnet (motor runs tight and starts like a clock every time). Original un-messed with first series 331 Hemi V8 (this model moved from straight 8s of the 40's). Fluid torque drive transmission (semi auto) is tight. New 6V battery fitted recently (6V system with generator removed and alternator installed for consistent power). Cool subtle external side mirror mounted high driver side. Not one dent in the blue bodywork - very very straight with subtle patina in some areas. Chrome all around in excellent condition and very very straight. Doors close with that magic sweet fluid sound and doors with original keys and barrels lock like new. This 1952 model is the longest of the New Yorkers (model shortened in length in 1953). Split windscreen very desirable (the last year of the split screen), glass all over amazing condition. All dash chrome and instrumentation in amazing working condition, fully working heater and vacuum power brakes. Original paint and body inspections stamps under the hood. New wiring, alternator, water pump (rebuilt), suspension/shocks, exhaust. Does not run hot, excellent cooling. Original dealer sticker on the trunk. No rust anywhere, trunk, floors undercarriage all clean. Would not hesitate for a second to drive this car anywhere like the way it competed in rallys in California). This car has some race history out of California, in the Carrera Nevada 3 years in a row (docs/photos in the trunk to demonstrate). This car didn't just sit in someone's garage gathering dust. This is a car for driving for just the pure pleasure of driving. The former owner of this car in USA was Martin Swig. He was the auto writer for the San Fran Chronicle. Also instrumental in the Gum Ball Rally and Pebble Beach Concours. Vehicle featured in Cruzin magazine since arrived in Australia - copy of magazine included. What is a little average on this vehicle:- Interior in overall good original condition, carpets are new but don't sit right possibly not installed correctly. Seats are in great condition however front seat has a few holes, can be covered with supplied Mexican blanket. Door cards very original but a little faded / tired in original appearance. Check out this video (copy and paste the link below into your browser) that was taken in Brisbane in 2016 (imported from USA in 2014). Import approval documentation comes with vehicle and we can work with Qld buyers to seek registration or look at transport options interstate or even consider driving it interstate to potential buyers. $26900 ONO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX0NeMQSQLQ
