This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is a full ground up custom build. What you see in these pictures represents approx 2000hrs worth of custom fabrication to create. The cab is from a 1955 model with the sort after big back window! The whole body has been customised including the hood from a 1957 model, custom belair style hood rockets, deleted badges, complete custom grill using teeth from a 57 Corvette, tucked bumpers, shaved vents, antenna and fuel filler, custom fleetside bed from a 1959 model truck with custom LED tail lights and shaved tailgate for a smooth custom look. The bed floor features all new bed wood with chrome strips as well as custom wheel tubs and smoothed inner panels. The whole body was then coated in a custom pastel turquoise colour with some nicely detailed pin striping to finish the look. The glass has all been replaced with smoked glass and the quarter windows have been deleted in favour of one piece glass. The dash is custom shaved with new gauges, relocated switches and custom center console. under the bonnet is all nicely painted the same colour as the body with a custom smoothed firewall and inner guards. Interior is all custom trimmed in grey with custom seat, headliner and full door trims. The fuel tank has been relocated from inside the cab and now resides under the rear of the tub. The running gear used is a new 355ci 4 bolt main small block V8 with flat top pistons (8.5:1 compression ratio), crowler rods attach to a steel crank, ss valves and roller rockers complete the freshly built heads. The engine is mated to a GM turbo 700r auto transmission with B&M quick shifter feeding a GM 10 Bolt diff with 3.73 gears. The suspension has been upgraded with Mustang ii independent front, including rack and pinion power steering, power assisted disk brakes and a four link with height adjustable coil overs in the rear. To finish the look it sits on custom built billet specialties wheels measuring 17x9 in the front and 17x11 in the rear. Trucks of this quality don't last long so get in quick if you are interested.
