This is a show car plus a cruiser top 10 Summernats 2018, won best custom classic Summernats - made top 24 finalist Motorex 2018 - made super 6 at Summernats. it’s priced at a fraction of the build cost 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, Full Body Off Nut and Bolt Restoration, Fresh Injected 406ci, 700R, Vintage A/C, Air Ride, Full NSW Registration, NSW Road Worthy. - Up for sale I have an immaculate 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, this is a full body off nut and bolt rotisserie restoration, with heaps of great custom work. Everything on the car is brand new, everything! - Starting with the driveline the car has a freshly built and very tough 406ci small block Chev, with fully polished Edelbrock Victor Jr aluminium heads and a fully polished Edelbrock performer alloy intake. It also has a new Holley Terminator EFI 4 barrel throttle body fuel injection system, which is fully tuneable through a hand held digital controller inside the car. The engine was fully professionally rebuilt about 8000 miles ago with all new internals with Wise Co forged pistons, forged rods, and a Thumper Comp Cam. It has ceramic coated Hooker long tube headers and a fully ceramic coated and heat wrapped 3” twin exhaust with flow master mufflers. It also has electric cut outs before the mufflers that can be opened up to make the car very loud and angry sounding. The car also has a newly built 700R4 4 speed auto trans, with a floor mounted Lokar shifter, and a new 2500rpm stall converter, new driveshaft and Currie 9” posi diff with 3.90 gears. It also has a new high toque starter motor. It has a fully polished Billet Specialties Tru-Track Serpentine pulley system, including the billet Vintage Air A/C compressor and billet alternator. The engine has a custom touch with a genuine steel and very rare HEMI air cleaner setup that has been adapted to fit on the small block with a custom billet spacer. It also has a fully polished Be Cool cross flow aluminium radiator and A/C condenser along with custom fabricated polished alloy overflow and power steering reservoir tanks, and a chromed twin Spal thermo fans and shroud setup. - It also has a brand new CPP hydro boost brake setup with a chromed master cylinder which works fantastic, all new stainless and braided brake lines throughout with a Wilwood inline proportioning controller and new Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes front and rear with 6 piston calipers in the front and four piston calipers in the rear. - It has all new fuel lines from front to back, set up for the fuel injection with a brand new reproduction ceramic coated fuel tank, new fuel pump, filters and sending unit. The car also has a brand new Ididit steering column, power steering and power steering pump with all braided lines. - Every bush, nut and bolt on the car has been replaced. The entire chassis and all suspension components were removed, sand blasted, primed and powder coated gloss black. As well as fully rebuilt suspension with all new steering and control arm ball joints, bushes and bolts, it also has brand new CPP tubular control arms in the front and a full Ride Tech 4 link setup in the rear. It has a Ride Tech, Ride Pro E3 setup with Ride Tech Shock Wave air bags/shocks front and rear. The system, tank, compressor etc is mounted in the boot, it also has a digital controller mounted in the centre console that controls the whole system. It is setup to automatically go to a pre-set ride high when the ignition is switched on, it has three pre-set levels or all four corners can be adjusted independently if desired. The system works great, the ride quality is beautiful and smooth and the setup allows for a very cool low stance or the practicality of a decent high ride height when needed. - The car sits on a set of custom made polished, billet Intro 18”x8” and 20”x10” wheels with new Toyo Proxes 4 ST 225/45/18 and 295/40/20 tyres. - The body of the car is all original steel with absolutely 100% no rust, and no rust repairs or rust patches of any kind. As a result of the full rotisserie restoration the body is in fantastic condition with incredibly beautiful bodywork, the car has amazing panel gaps and sharp body lines throughout and a fantastic glossy, glassy paint finish. As shown in the pictures the entire underside, engine bay, underside of the bonnet and boot lid, door jambs etc have all been body worked, colour sanded, buffed and finished just as well as the exterior of the car. Additionally the engine block, transmission, diff, 4 link etc have all been painted body colour and have also been finished extremely well. There is some tasteful custom air brushing on the car, on the air cleaner cover and inside the moulding line along the side which has flames that transition the orange into the black, as shown in the pictures the diff centre has also been air brushed with an angry Jacko lantern. The car also comes with a custom made Car Bra which fits over the front end to protect it from stone chips etc. - All chrome work, mouldings and badges on the car including bumpers, grill, taillights, body mouldings etc are brand new and in perfect condition inside and out. The fit and finish of the bright work and mouldings is exceptional. The bumpers have been shaved smooth of all bolts and rechromed. The rear badge has been moved to conceal the boot lock that is a nice custom touch. All the glass and weather stripping throughout is also brand new, with new high quality reproduction tinted glass being installed. In addition to this all window, and door regulators, tracks, rubbers, latches and door hinges are all also brand new and work perfectly as they should. - In the interior of the car, all the original trim has been replaced, with all brand new custom headliner, parcel shelf, door panels, kick panels, carpets, matts, centre console and custom seat trims. The trim is a mixture of real black leather, and vinyl. The factory dash and steering wheel is fully restored with all new mouldings and chrome trim. The dash has been tastefully modified with an 8” Alpine head unit being moulded in the dash panel, along with a custom lower panel to house the Vintage Air A/C vents and controls. The Vintage Air A/C works fantastic and blows icy cold. The factory gauges have been replaced by a set of Danchuck Signature Series instruments by Classic Instruments which all work great. The Alpine system includes GPS, CD, DVD player, hands free and sterio controls with Pandora, Bluetooth, and iPhone inputs. There are alpine speakers in the front doors and in the rear parcel shelf, with a Sony amplifier concealed in the boot, the sterio easily links to your phone and works and sounds great. The front foot wells light up at night with LED strip lighting that runs along the bottom edge of the dash panel. The boot has also been retrimed beautifully to match the interior, and also houses the relocated battery and all air ride and sterio systems. - The car has been fully rewired from front to rear with an American Autowire wiring loom, this includes all new switches and light fittings throughout and nice bright headlights and LED taillights. - The restoration was completed in the USA, this is a flawless example of a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and would make a perfect addition to any collection or would make an absolutely beautiful weekend cruiser or show car. There has been a massive amount of time and money spent on this car and it shows, absolutely everything other than the body, is brand new. The quality of this build is very impressive and all work has been done to a very high standard. The car cost over $200K to build. The car runs and drives perfectly, and was built to drive and be enjoyed, it has done just over 8000 miles since completion and has driven the full length of California to multiple Good Guys car shows, it was recently imported and has not been shown in Australia as yet.
