Gosford Classic Cars was born out of a passion for the artistry of automobiles and has showcased hundreds of pristine vehicles over many years, sourced from Australia, the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
Lloyds are honoured to be auctioning this prestigious collection that will have over 150 vehicles go under the hammer at Gosford Classic Car Museum’s enormous facilities on the 7th April 2019.

Presenting a masterfully restored, Australian delivered example of a 1963 Land Rover Series 2A utility, featuring the newly introduced 2.6L 6-cylinder engine coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. This Series 2A utility offers grunt, durability and ample space both inside and out and is in immaculate condition overall.
Finished in a ‘Marine Blue’ this timeless automotive icon showcases the period correct wheels and a freshly painted cream roof. The Interior of the vehicle features all new seating, carpets, head liner and re-furbished dash instrumentation that bring this example back to presenting as new. The re upholstered black leathered trim is in perfect condition and is testament to how detailed this high-grade restoration has been.
Accompanying this vehicle are the original owner’s manual, service logbook, maintenance booklet and a spare key. An example presenting in this condition is highly collectible with production by Land Rover was ceasing and there won’t ever be another example like this. Production of the Land Rover began in 1948 and saw a long-lived successful production through until the end of January 2017. The Defender ran 67 years over many different body shapes and each release stood as a milestone to the automotive market. Land Rover built their success on highly durable and almost indestructible designs and gained eventual Australian military use across their models.
The Land Rover Series II saw production from the 60’s and later showcased a new release as the ‘Series 2A’ that until this day is referred to as one of the hardiest models ever constructed. The release featured headlights that were fitted in the fenders, a more powerful engine and saw that ‘key start’ was now a standard feature across the models. Exclusively available in Australia was the Series 2A utility with a limited manufacture of only 109, being all sold to the South Australian Department of Health.
