By 1964 the Sprite had evolved into a much more Modern Car, with Wind Up Windows, Quarter Vents, External Door Handles and a Curved Glass Windscreen, while Mechanically, the 1098cc motor was Stronger than previous, with better casting and 2” Main Bearings, the Rear Suspension also benefited from Semi-Elliptic Leaf Springs. Presenting Well in classic Nurberg White, this MkIII Sprite is complimented by its Black Disc Wheels sporting Chrome trim rings and 165/80/13 tyres to give surefooted grip, the contrasting Black Interior features the more Period, Early Style Seats and an Autotechnica Sports Steering Wheel. Weather Protection is in the form of both a Removable Black Vinyl Soft-Top, giving a clean look and a Black Vinyl Tonneau cover. It is Mechanically where this MkIII Sprite really Shines, it has been upgraded with a B Series Engine built by PowerPlay Automotive with an accompanying Dyno Sheet. The engine build sheet lists Custom Steel Conrods, Forged Aluminium Pistons, ARP Fasteners, a Wade Camshaft and a lot more that went into this Strong and Torquey Engine. The Engine also features HS4 (1 ½”) SU carburettors with a 3 into 1, Extractor style exhaust, with a Thermatic fan, Oil Cooler and a pair of Alloy Radiators to keep Temperatures in check with an Alternator and a Spin-On Oil Filter for Reliability and Convenience. Accompanying the Sprite is a detailed Photographic Album of the Restoration Work carried at the time that the B Series Engine and Gearbox were fitted.
