Seller's Description
Nice rare right hand drive Buick, imported back in 1964 then converted and sold through a Melbourne dealership. Conversion was a good one as they used RHD steering boxes back then! I was told that it had spent its life in country Victoria and has certainly been looked after well. This is the first year of the reliable 401 Nailhead and Super Turbine 400 ( Turbo 400 ) transmission combination. Running gear is excellent and the Buick has just had a full service and tune including plugs and points, rebuild to its original Rochester carb and replacement of some of the hoses. A new windscreen, shockers and rebuilt brakes were arranged by previous owner. The car runs beautifully and with its light power steering and firm power brakes purrs along the highway with no squeaks groans bangs or rattles! Paint was professionally refinished approximately 4 years ago and the car has not been out and about much in that time hence the wonderful shine. Unusual two-tone black & silver combination is an eye-pleasing crowd puller. Chrome and stainless all good, original hubcaps and tyres are in good condition. Interior is mostly original and does have some wear- but is neat and tidy. A fussy new owner can actually buy the correct repro blue brocade fabric from USA and retrim the seats if they wish. With a new carpet as well the interior would be mint. All four tinted power windows and power seat work. Even the AM radio still plays music. Factory manuals and brochure are included. Car is sold unregistered. Phone enquiries are welcome as I tend to ignore silly email questions and lowball offers!! I have sold plenty of my cars interstate and am more than happy to deliver the Buick to your transport company in Adelaide.
