Just arrived - This 1965 Porsche 356 SC Karmann is a great opportunity to own a highly regarded collectors car. The 356 was Porsche's first ever production model, with the C being the last revision. Produced over just two years, a total of 16,811 356C's rolled off the line with 13,510 being coupes. What a wonder it would be to know how many were SC's and how many survived. While all C models were fit with a 4 speed manual, the SC recieved the most powerful pushrod engine Porsche had ever produced. The 1.6L 'Type 616/16 B4' produced 95hp, and was utlisied in the Netherlands-owned Police 356's. This 356SC was imported from Washington and then purchased by it's current owner in 2016. The car then underwent extensive body restoration over 3 years, totalling around $130,000, with some body being left in its original condition for posterity. This included all floor pans, sills, front wheel arches, rear shell being completely stripped down and refabricated where necessary. Then, in September 2024, the car recieved a carby overhaul, carby kits, air cleaners, and engine bay clean at approx $2500. The car comes with a file of reciepts for the engine work and a large photo album documenting all of the body work. Additionally, the 356 comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. This Certificate states that, although originally manufactured with a Black exterior, it has retained the Red Leatherette interior and matching numbers engine. The interior and paint is tidy though certainly not new - keeping in mind it is 60 years of age.
