This 1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau is a pleasure to drive. The 428 cubic inch big block engine runs smooth and quiet with loads of torque being punched through a C6 transmission. Although not considered a muscle car this cruiser has about the same power to weight ratio as a HK 327 Monaro. This is a very, very original car with any upgrades that have been made being for reasons of better comfort or safety. The air conditioning and brakes have both been upgraded and work incredibly well. This Thunderbird offered more standard equipment than any previous model with cruise control, control lock, power windows, power quarter vents, remote boot release, power drivers seat, automatic park brake release, trunk light and deluxe wheel covers. The swing away steering column for easy access is a famous feature of these models. The interior of these cars is so extravagant with unnecessary opulence everywhere you look and that is what makes these cars so Super Cool! This vehicle appears to be rust free and all panel gaps are very good. It has a few scars here and there that only testify to the overall originality. We believe that the entire interior is original and yet is in great condition. The instruments work and are in above average condition. There is a large file of documentation and records with the car and the original build sheet.
